EXHIBITOR RULES 2026

PHOTOGRAPHER APPLICATIONS 2026CANDIDATURES PHOTOGRAPHES 2026

The CHAMONIX PHOTO NATURE association is inviting applications from both amateur and professional photographers.

The 4th edition of the Chamonix Photo Festival will take place from Friday, October 23 to Sunday, October 25, 2026, in the Chamonix Valley.

How to Exhibit?

By completing the registration form available at the following link:

https://cpf.awardsplatform.com/

The call for applications is open from Monday, February 16 to Tuesday, March 31, 2026 at 11:59 PM (deadline for submissions).

Each photographer may exhibit as many photographs as they wish, with a maximum display length of 16 meters and an average stand size of 14 meters. However, exhibitors will be required to maintain a minimum level of harmony and organization on their stand.

At the end of this period, applications will be submitted to a selection jury composed of members of the organizing committee. The selection will be carried out anonymously. The jury’s decision is final, not subject to appeal, and will not be accompanied by comments or justification.

Applicants whose submissions are selected will be informed as soon as possible following the jury’s decision.

Applicants who are not selected will also receive an email notification.

Selected photographers must wait for a gap of two editions before applying again (for example, photographers who exhibited in 2023 may only apply again for the 2026 edition). Unsuccessful applicants may submit a new application every year.

The theme of the photographic exhibitions must strictly focus on nature (wildlife, flora, landscapes, macro, close-up, astrophotography, etc.).

Respect for wildlife and the environment during image capture is a key selection criterion. Compliance with local regulations in the country and location of the shoot is also essential, as well as demonstrating environmentally responsible behavior that does not harm natural habitats or living species.
For wildlife, this excludes any practices that may threaten survival, disturb animals, or create dependency, including altering their natural behavior, diverting them from their ecological role, or restricting their freedom of movement.
For flora, this excludes any images not taken in a natural environment, or created using artificial setups outside their natural setting.

The proposed exhibition must not include any use (partial or total) of generative AI. Any application containing such content will be automatically rejected. A limited tolerance is allowed for AI tools used to remove sensor dust or lens flare, provided this does not alter the integrity of the images and that the content remains faithful to real situations.

Participation in the call for applications is free of charge.

Photographer Application Rules – Chamonix Photo Festival

By submitting an application, the photographer certifies that they are the author of the submitted photographs and that they hold all legal rights to them.

Selected photographers will be notified personally.

They commit to presenting a complete body of work consistent in both quantity and quality with the proposal submitted to the selection jury.

By accepting or signing this agreement, photographers also agree to be featured across all festival communication channels (website, social media, press, radio, TV, etc.).

The anonymity of applicants who are not selected will be respected.

Selected photographers agree to provide, free of charge, digital files or four images from their exhibition. These images will be royalty-free for use in promoting the festival and by its partners. Festival partners may also use these images in communication related to the event.

These digital files or images will be selected jointly and used only for presenting the photographer’s work in promotional materials (website, social media, press, radio, TV, etc.). Proper credits will always be included to protect the authors.

No photographs from non-selected applications will be used.

The Chamonix Photo Festival will provide selected photographers with a free exhibition space, assigned according to the overall scenography of the festival. This allocation is determined by the selection committee and cannot be contested.

Production of the exhibition is the responsibility of the photographer. The festival does not cover any costs related to printing, framing, or transport of the photographs.

Selected photographers must be present during all three public days of the festival.

They are solely responsible for installing their exhibition on Thursday, October 22, 2026 after 4:00 PM, and dismantling it on Sunday, October 25, 2026 after 6:00 PM. Volunteers will be available to assist if needed.

Festival organizers reserve the right, in case of force majeure or if circumstances require, to modify these rules or cancel the 2026 edition. Neither the organizers nor the festival can be held liable for such changes.

Any special requests regarding participation conditions not covered in these rules may be considered on a case-by-case basis, without guarantee, and may be subject to a separate agreement.

The organizing team remains available to answer any questions and to ensure optimal exhibition conditions.
