The heart of our project
The Chamonix Photo Festival relies on the following elements
- Exhibitions across the valley.
- Three indoor exhibition sites: in Chamonix, the Majestic and the Prieuré, and in Les Houches, the Kandahar, with meetings, book signings, equipment tests and training.
- Film screenings, documentaries, conferences, meetings, debates.
- Field outings with Masterclasses (with the Chamonix Mountain Guides Company) including full-scale equipment tests.
- Workshops for children.
In detail
Twenty-five internationally renowned photographers will exhibit their work and you will be able to meet and share with them about their photographs. For this fourth edition, rooms in Chamonix and Les Houches have been selected: the Majestic and the Kandahar hall (in the finish area of the famous World Cup ski race).
Outdoor exhibitions will be spread across the municipalities of the Chamonix valley with more than 300 photographs on display.
Vallorcine
An outdoor exhibition along the train station parking and at the Tourist Office.
Argentière
You will find an outdoor exhibition in the gardens of the village house, on the village square.
Chamonix
In the salons of the Majestic and the Prieuré, renowned photographers will present their works and their practice.
On the Places du Mont-Blanc, des Alpes, the Triangle, and the Aiguille du Midi, find about a hundred photographs displayed outdoors.
A conference room, a planetarium, brands and a panel of professionals who work around photography will be at your disposal.

Les Houches
In the finish area of the famous World Cup downhill, you will find talented photographers presenting their work as well as a room dedicated to valley photographers and a children/family photo discovery workshop.
Outside the hall, more than fifty photographs will be displayed with the Chamonix valley and the Mont-Blanc massif as a backdrop. Activities around the environment are also planned
In front of the town hall, about ten photos will present the festival.
Servoz
An outdoor exhibition between the church and the village hall and an exhibition in open nature.
Other
Conferences throughout the weekend will be offered in Chamonix or at the Prieuré site.
A competition open to any photographer with 5 themes will result in exhibitions distributed across the valley.
