Nature, the mountains, solitude: this is what I aspire to.
I am 24 years old and work as a psychiatric nurse. As soon as I leave my ward, I find myself already lost in the indescribable. The indescribable is that certain something that drives me. The cold, the altitude, the wind, the calm, the storm, the white… The indescribable is everything that makes me feel alive.
Through the series I present here, I have attempted to capture the indescribable power of the Alps. There are many elements that give life to this magical word. Among them: silence. For, yes, what strikes one in the vast glacial, forested and rocky expanses is the deafening silence of the place. Man returns to his place as a human being, and nature becomes an altar. Spirituality takes hold.
Enjoy your journey into the indescribable beauty of the Alps.
Competition
For this second year, the success of the various competitions has been, just as in the previous year, a wonderful surprise.
In total, over 3,000 photographs, divided into 7 categories, were received.
Here is the list of finalists in each category.
The winners will be announced during the festival and each of these images will be exhibited in the town of Chamonix.
