Tremplin Competition
Supported by
Continuing from its first two editions, the Chamonix Photo Festival aimed to highlight young talents under 30 years old.
After receiving 70 applications, the jury met and decided to support the work of Lubin Godin.
He will exhibit his images for the three days of the festival, and the printing of his works will be provided.
Lubin Godin
I will be 14 at the end of the year.
I am lucky to have been born in a relatively preserved area of Haute-Savoie, and my parents taught me to love and respect the surrounding nature.
From a very young age, I could apparently stay still for long periods observing the little creatures in the garden, and I asked for a camera quite early to photograph them. I received my first compact camera at age seven, then borrowed my parents’ old SLR, before having my own equipment.
I spend almost all my free time in the mountains, admiring landscapes and wildlife. What fascinates me is that animals never appear when expected. Even returning to the same place multiple times, you never have the same encounters.
One day, I heard Vincent Munier say that society destroys children’s ability to be amazed—and sadly, I think he is right. Thankfully, I am one of the few exceptions, because nature continues to amaze me!”

The list of finalists for each category is as follows.
Winners and special mentions in each category will be announced during the festival, and all selected images will be exhibited in the city of Chamonix.
