The festival will take place in the Chamonix Valley from October 23 to 25, 2026. The different competitions or categories are the Emerging Talent (Tremplin) and the Themed Competitions. <\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Photographs submitted to the Tremplin will be exhibited indoors for the three days of the festival.<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Photographs submitted to the Themed Competitions will be exhibited outdoors across the communes of the Chamonix Valley, a few days before the festival and throughout the All Saints\u2019 holiday period.<\/span><\/p><h3><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Article 2: General Conditions of Participatio<\/span><\/h3><h4><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">2.1 Participants<\/span><\/h4><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The competitions are open to all photographers, whether individuals, professionals, or amateurs.<\/span><\/p><h4><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">2.2 Objectives of the Competitions<\/span><\/h4><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The aim is to showcase photographs of wildlife, flora, landscapes, and to raise awareness for the preservation of natural habitats and species, representing biodiversity in all its forms.<\/span><\/p><h4><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">2.3 Photographer\u2019s Commitments<\/span><\/h4><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> By participating, photographers must:<\/span><\/p><ul><li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"3\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Be the author of the work and hold all rights and authorizations necessary for its use.<\/span><\/li><li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"3\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Respect the environment and adopt an ethical, naturalist approach that does not harm living species or natural habitats.<\/span><\/li><li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"3\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Comply with all local regulations in the country and place where the photographs were taken.<\/span><\/li><li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"3\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Demonstrate environmental responsibility, minimizing impact on nature and living species. For animals, this excludes any actions harmful to survival, causing disturbance, dependency, or altering natural behavior.<br \/>For flora, only natural environments are allowed; no artificial staging. <\/span><\/li><li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"3\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Not use generative AI for any addition or modification of the content.<\/span><\/li><li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"3\">The jury reserves the right to disqualify any work failing to comply with rules, including after results are published or during the exhibition. Any artificial or staged images outside these guidelines may be publicly disclosed.<\/li><li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"3\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Not submit works previously awarded or selected in prior Chamonix Photo Festival competitions. <\/span><\/li><li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"3\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Winners are encouraged to attend the awards ceremony or provide a brief descriptive note.<\/span><\/li><li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"3\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Additional requests from the jury (e.g., RAW files, images from the same series, IPTC metadata) must be provided if deemed necessary. <\/span><\/li><\/ul><h4><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">2.4 Rights Granted by Participants<\/span><\/h4><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><br \/>Selected photographers agree to:<br \/><\/span><\/p><ul><li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Grant reproduction rights for festival promotion.<\/span><\/li><li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Authorize social media usage for promoting the Chamonix Photo Festival.<\/span><\/li><\/ul><h4><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">2.5 Use by Other Festivals<\/span><\/h4><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Competitions may be loaned or rented to partner festivals. <\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">ny revenue generated will support Chamonix Photo Nature. Selected photographers waive claims to compensation or image rights in this context. <\/span><\/p><h3><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Article 3: Registration and Submission Deadline<\/span><\/h3><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Submissions open Monday, February 16, 2026, and must be received by Tuesday, March 31, 2026, 11:59 PM (UTC\/GMT).<\/span><\/p><h3><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Article 4: Categories<\/span><\/h3><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Two types of competitions are offered:<\/span><\/p><ul><li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Emerging Talent (Tremplin) \u2013 for participants under 30 (born in 1996 or later)<\/span><\/li><li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Two types of competitions are offered:<\/span><\/li><\/ul><h4><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">4.1 Emerging Talent Competition (Tremplin)<\/span><\/h4><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">A<\/span> <span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">A special exhibition of approximately 10 professional prints (80\u00d7120 cm or 50\u00d775 cm in floating frames) will be displayed. Scenographic proposals with different formats are also accepted. Exhibition space: 10\u201312 linear meters. <\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Prints are provided by Chamonix Photo Nature. <\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The winner can take part of the exhibition home;<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">two prints are donated to the festival partner.<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The series is exhibited at the Majestic during all three days of the festival.<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The winning photographer must be present for the three days.<\/span><\/p><h4><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">4.2 Themed Competitions<\/span><\/h4><p>Categories 1\u20135 feature nature photography.<\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Maximum 2 photos per theme; participants may apply to all categories.<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Categories 1\u20134 remain the same each year;<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Category 5 changes annually.<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">15 finalist photos will be displayed outdoors.Les 15 photos finalistes seront expos\u00e9es en ext\u00e9rieur.<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Allowed edits: minor retouching, moderate HDR, focus stacking, panoramic photography, flipping, cropping, and black-and-white conversion. <\/span><\/p><ol><li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\">&#8211; Landscapes (worldwide)<\/li><li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\">&#8211; Macro \/ close-up photography<\/li><li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">&#8211; <\/span>Wildlife (worldwide)<\/li><li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\">&#8211; Humans and Nature<\/li><li aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">&#8211;<\/span> Camouflage in the Animal Kingdom<\/li><\/ol><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> Duplicate submissions will only consider the first entry.<\/span><\/p><h3><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Article 5: Submissions<\/span><\/h3><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">5.1 Photo Submission<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Submit via the dedicated platform ( <a href=\"https:\/\/cpf.awardsplatform.com\/\">https:\/\/cpf.awardsplatform.com\/<\/a>) on: <\/span><a href=\"http:\/\/www.chamonixphotofestival.com\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">www.chamonixphotofestival.com<\/span><\/a><\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Files must be anonymous.<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">These photos will remain your property and will be used solely for the promotion of the festival and the rental of this competition.<\/span><\/p><p>JPEGs, resized to 2000 px on the longest side, 72 dpi, max 3MB, sRGB, no margin or watermark.<\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Include a text presentation, location, and shooting condition<\/span><\/p><p class=\"p1\"><strong>AI-generated images are not accepted, except minor fixes for sensor dust or flare without altering reality.<\/strong> A tolerance will be applied to the use of AI tools to remove sensor dust or flare provided that it does not distort the photo and that the content remains consistent with the real situation.<\/p><h4><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">5.1.1 Themed Competitions<\/span><\/h4><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Max 2 photos per category.<\/span><\/p><h4><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">5.1.2 Tremplin Competition<\/span><\/h4><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Submit a coherent series of 10\u201320 photographs, which will be exhibited <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">if selected.<\/span><\/p><h4><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">5.2 Preselection<\/span><\/h4><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">A technical committee reviews submissions for quality, ethics, and adherence to the theme.<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Jury may reject non-compliant works or request additional information. <\/span><\/p><h4><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">5.3 Jury<\/span><\/h4><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Composed of association members, photography, environmental, and\/or publishing professionals, and a partner festival member.<br \/>Jury selects winners and establishes finalist lists. <\/span><\/p><h4><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">5.4 Files for Printing<\/span><\/h4><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Selected photographers must provide high-resolution files (TIFF, min 10MP, no resampling, Adobe RGB 1998) for exhibition prints.<\/span><\/p><h4><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">5.5 Awards<\/span><\/h4><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The following will receive prizes:<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Top 3 winners for each theme <\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">3 special mentions across 5 categories<\/span><\/p><p><b>Jury Prize<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> best technical, artistic, or message across all categories; excluded from category awards. <\/span><\/p><p><b>Graphics Prize <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">: most graphic photo across all themes; excluded from category awards. <\/span><\/p><p>\u201cDiscovering Home\u201d Prize: photo taken in France (including overseas regions), by a resident of that region.<\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Awards cannot be combined.<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Prizes include a trophy and monetary donation.<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Jury may withhold awards depending on submissions<\/span><\/p><h3><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Article 6: Intellectual Property and Use of Photographs<\/span><\/h3><h4><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">6.1 Photographer\u2019s Rights<\/span><\/h4><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Selected photographers grant Chamonix Photo Nature reproduction and distribution rights only for promotion and exhibition. <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Includes slideshow, <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">portfolio\/catalog publication, <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">online and press promotion, <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">exhibition representation, <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">and rental promotion. <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">No other use without written consent;\u00a0 <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">no rights are transferred to third parties.<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Authors are credited for each usage.<\/span><\/p><h4><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">6.2 Use of the Festival Logo<\/span><\/h4><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Selected photographers may use the festival logo only to announce their award, linking back to the festival website. <\/span><\/p><h4><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">6.3 Financial Terms<\/span><\/h4><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Participation does not entitle photographers to compensation or reimbursement.<\/span><\/p><h4><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">6.4 Withdrawal<\/span><\/h4><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Photographers wishing to withdraw must notify organizers within 30 days after submission closes. Withdrawal is not possible after print or communication materials have been produced <\/span><\/p><h3><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Article 7: Miscellaneous<\/span><\/h3><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Organizers are not liable for partial\/total loss of digital data or cancellation due to circumstances.<br \/>Participants may request correction or removal of personal data.<br \/>By participating, photographers agree to these regulations via digital signature. <\/span><\/p><h3><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Article 8: Confidentiality<\/span><\/h3><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Personal information of participants is confidential.<br \/>Organizers commit to respecting applicable French confidentiality laws and not sharing information with third parties. <\/span><\/p><h3><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Article 9: Obligations<\/span><\/h3><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Participation implies acceptance of these rules.
